Aston Villa Premier League fixtures: Schedule, dates, times, and predictions for the upcoming season of the EPL in 2022/23

The Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is approaching what he expects to be his first full season in charge since he took over at the club in the summer of 2021, and the club intends to aim higher than their final position of 14th in the Premier League for the forthcoming season.

After replacing Dean Smith in November following a run of five consecutive defeats which led to a sacking that some felt were unfair and uncalled for, Gerrard made an immediate impact.

There were only two games Villa failed to win following Gerrard’s appointment and they were narrow defeats to eventual Premier League champions Manchester City and nearest rivals Liverpool in the six games that followed his appointment.

The 2022/23 Premier League season is just around the corner and Villa will be hoping to find more consistency when the new season begins. As you can see from the schedule below, they have a busy schedule.

Europa League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup participation for Aston Villa

The Villa Football Club were unfortunate in the 2021/22 FA Cup season, having lost by a single goal to Manchester United in the third round based on their performance which did not merit such a result. In January, they will return to that competition for the second time.

There was no better luck for the Villans in the third round of the Carabao Cup, as they lost on penalties to Chelsea in the same round of the competition. During the month of November, Villa will be back in the Carabao Cup.
