Bournemouth Premier League fixtures: Schedule, dates, times, and predictions for the upcoming season of the EPL in 2022/23

Having both the club and the manager with a point to prove in the Premier League ahead of Bournemouth’s return to the top flight for the season 2022/23, motivation should not be an issue for the club ahead of their return to the top flight.

Bournemouth Premier League fixtures: Schedule, dates, times, and predictions for the upcoming season of the EPL in 2022/23

In his short career, Scott Parker has just managed to win promotion from the second tier for the second time in his short management career, and he will be hoping not to repeat the fate of Fulham in his first season as a manager in the Premier League in 2020/2021 when their season ended in relegation.

A playoff defeat to Brentford in 2020/21 ended Bournemouth’s hopes of an immediate return after they lost by a point in 2019/20.

What will happen to the Cherries’ hopes or will Parker be able to give them some staying power with his second shot at the Premier League cherry? Their schedule can be found here.

FA Cup, and Carabao Cup participation for Bournemouth

It would be a great improvement if Bournemouth could avoid humiliation in the cups in the 2022/23 season. Despite the fact that they were relegated from the Premier League, Southampton will be hoping that their 6-0 defeat by Norwich City in the Carabao Cup is not an omen for their chances in the division when they return to the competition in November.

In the FA Cup, a competition in which Bournemouth will be back in January, things were even worse for Bournemouth. In the 2021/22 fourth round of the FA Cup, non-league Boreham Wood produced the biggest upset of the season by defeating Tottenham by a goal to none at the Vitality Stadium.

FA Cup dates 2022/23

Bournemouth Premier League projection & odds

The odds of Bournemouth relegation might be posted on the dressing room wall by Parker to motivate his players to defy the doubters and bookmakers, who have positioned Bournemouth as the odds-on favourites for the relegation playoffs.

Recruiting defensive players could be critical for Parker following the return of loanees Nat Phillips (Liverpool) and Leif Davis (Leeds) to their clubs and the departure of the highly experienced former England defender Gary Cahill from Bournemouth. The club is always able to offer at least one surprise package during the course of a season, and their spending power remains strong as a result of their earlier stint as a Premier League club.

Here is a list of Bournemouth best and worst finishes in the Premier League

The rise of Bournemouth from fourth and bottom tier English football to the Premier League in 2015 was a storied one, with the club surging from the fourth tier to the top tier in no time at all. During that time, they remained there impressively for five seasons.

In 2016/17, Bournemouth made its first appearance in the modern Premier League under Eddie Howe, who had played at the club and guided them from League Two to the Premier League. He led them to their best-ever ninth-place finish in the league that season.
