Brighton Premier League fixtures: Schedule, dates, times, and predictions for the upcoming season of the EPL in 2022/23

A surprising package for the 2021/22 Premier League campaign was Brighton and Hove Albion. They threatened the possibility of becoming the first team from the Premier League to qualify for European competition during the first half of the season and eventually finished ninth in the table.

As a consequence of Graham Potter’s possession-based approach, his side managed to counteract some of the goalscoring problems that had held them back from the top half of the table during the manager’s first two seasons in charge and ended up being closer to the relegation zone than the top half of the table.

There were plenty of clubs in the league with well-resourced squads, but Brighton was able to punch well above their weight. With their progressive approach, it would not be a huge surprise to see the Seagulls continue to impress in 2022/23.

This is Brighton’s full league schedule ahead of the start of their sixth season in the Premier League.

FA Cup, and Carabao Cup participation for Brighton

There can be no doubt that Brentford could have been forgiven for prioritizing league safety over cup runs after losing 4-1 to Everton in the FA Cup fourth round in the season 2022/23. This will be the second time they will be participating in this competition, and they will be returning in January.

During their Carabao Cup campaign in 2021/22, they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea at home in the quarterfinals, but they were able to avenge that loss in the Premier League by beating Chelsea 4-1 at Stamford Bridge the following year. As part of the Carabao Cup once again, Brentford will be taking part in the competition in November.

Brighton Premier League projection & odds

The Premier League has long been Brighton’s goal, but the club, like several of the division’s less-wealthy clubs, is always concerned about avoiding relegation.

There were many Seagulls fans who accepted the prospect of playing in Europe with irreverence, even though Potter led his former team Ostersunds to their first-ever European campaign on the continent after leaving the Seagulls. If his current club were to finish in the top half of the table, as the odds suggest, that would be another significant success for him.

Here is a list of Brighton best and worst finishes in the Premier League

While Brighton had previously been in the top flight, they joined the modern Premier League for the very first time at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign, although they had been in the top flight before that.

Their 17th-place finish in 2018/19 spelled the end for former manager Chris Hughton after narrowly avoiding the relegation zone in previous seasons.
