Everton Premier League fixtures: Schedule, dates, times, and predictions for the upcoming season of the EPL in 2022/23

It may seem strange to some fans that Rafa Benitez, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in the past, was unexpectedly appointed Everton’s new manager in June 2021 even though they had misgivings about him staying for one season at least.

The fact of the matter is that, by presiding over an utterly dreadful first half of the season for Liverpool’s arch-rivals, Benitez has inadvertently further enhanced his status as a Reds legend.

Frank Lampard replaced former Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez at the end of January, but the underperforming squad he inherited only narrowly avoided a relegation decider on the final day of the season with a nervy victory in their final home game.

Does Lampard have what it takes to lead Everton out of their malaise? What is the status of their schedule so far? You can find out more about the event by clicking here.

FA Cup, and Carabao Cup participation for Everton

The Chelsea star, who was a serial trophy winner with Chelsea, was furious after his team lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarterfinals of the 2022/2023 season, accusing his players of granting their opponents a “free pass” to the final four. In January, Everton, one of the former winners of the competition, will be back in action.

During Everton’s loss to Championship club QPR in the Carabao Cup second round in September, there were warning signs for Benitez that he was in trouble. As of November 2022, they will begin their campaign in that competition for the 2022/23 season.

Everton Premier League projection & odds

Trying to predict the way Everton will resurface from a season most fans will have been eager to see the end of is a very difficult task. Although the team’s results were patchy under Lampard as they clung on to safety, victories over Manchester United, Chelsea, and Leicester City proved to be important victories in the end.

Jordan Pickford, the England goalkeeper, was named their Player of the Season, and Lampard will be hoping that he can add to his squad and get the best out of the likes of Dele Alli and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. For the supporters of the team, a return to the top half of the table would be a great relief.

Here is a list of Everton best and worst finishes in the Premier League

Since the creation of the Premier League in 1992, Everton has been ever-present in the competition and, although it was not a matter of Lampard crowing, it did mean the club avoided attaining its worst finish in the competition to date in 2022/23.

There were many dramatic comebacks in the past, but Everton’s 3-2 victory in the final game of the season in 1993/94 was the most dramatic.
