Nottingham Forest Premier League fixtures: Schedule, dates, times, and predictions for the upcoming season of the EPL in 2022/23

In September, Nottingham Forest has placed bottom of the 2021/22 Championship table and four points away from survival. The prospect of a long-awaited return to the Premier League seemed to be just as distant as it had been during their period in the third tier from 2005 to 2008.

In less than a year’s time, the two-time champions of Europe of the Champions League are still savoring the sensational run of form that almost led them to automatic promotion, which meant it came as no surprise when they subsequently completed their mission via the Championship playoffs that followed.

There is no doubt that the appointment of former England youth coach Steve Cooper has been a masterstroke, and it would be even better if the Welshman were to steer Forest to safety at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

What new stadiums will Forest fans be heading to in the near future? Is Cooper able to replicate the success he achieved in 2021/22 when he oversaw the FA Cup run for the club? This is what the season looks like so far.

FA Cup, and Carabao Cup participation for Nottingham Forest

There should be no doubt that Forest can beat Premier League sides in the near future, especially after remembering their FA Cup run from 2021/22, in which they thrashed Leicester City and thumped Arsenal before losing by the only goal of the game to Liverpool in the quarterfinals. When the competition resumes in January, they will be back in action.

During their miserable start to the season, Forest lost 4-0 at home to Midlands neighbors Wolves in the Carabao Cup. The competition will start again for Forest in November, and it’s unlikely that they’ll regard it as a priority at all.

Predictions & odds for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League

Supporters of Forest will know how difficult it is for promoted sides to stay in the Premier League during their first season, especially for those teams that win the playoffs, who are left with less time to prepare for potential post-season signings than any of their rivals.

The remarkable run that Forest made to the top six of the Championship between February and April – including 12 wins and one defeat in 15 league games – should propel Forest forward in the coming months. As a result of Brennan Johnson’s 19 goals and 11 assists on his way to being named the 2021/22 Championship Young Player of the Season, the team will be striving for more than just survival this year.
