As one of the biggest live events of the summer, SummerSlam 2022, is one of the most anticipated events of the year. There is no doubt that it is the summer’s WrestleMania. A lot of legendary moments and blockbuster matches have been witnessed at SummerSlam, such as the Rock vs. Brock match and the second-ever Elimination Chamber match.
There have definitely been some misses over the course of SummerSlam as well, however. It is no secret that WWE’s recent booking hasn’t been great in recent months, so fans are hoping that the company does not give in to its worst impulses when it comes to scheduling. The future will only tell whether SummerSlam 2022 will be a big hit or a big miss, but let’s take a look at all the worst-case scenarios that could happen during the biggest party of the summer.
Brock Wins The Undisputed Title in WWE Summerslam 2022
Having Brock Lesnar win the title would ruin the entire night and so much more. There is no doubt that giving Brock the last laugh in the feud with Roman Reigns would be a massive blow to the legacy of Roman Reigns. There is no desire from the fans for one part-time champion to be replaced with another. There is no doubt that Brock is a made man, and he does not require this victory in any way, shape, or form.
As well, if Brock wins the title, his reign as the champion would come to an end. Because if Roman gave his momentum to a guy who didn’t need it, then it would be meaningless since he would be taking all his momentum away from a guy who didn’t need it. There would be a similar scenario to the Undertaker losing the Streak to Hulk Hogan if this were to happen.
Liv Morgan Loses To Ronda Rousey in WWE Summerslam 2022
Resulting in such a situation would be a catastrophe on a large scale. Liv is not only one of the new champions, but she is also one of the most popular champions in the world. There is no doubt that Liv is loved by the public, and it would be a huge mistake for her to end her reign prematurely. There was a premature end to Nikki Cross’ title reign, which led to one of Charlotte Flair’s worst reigns during her career as a wrestler. It is essential that WWE sticks with Liv and doesn’t second-guess its decision to go with her.
The fact that Liv wins will also make the show more entertaining. I believe that this is going to be a very epic David and Goliath story that will probably be remembered for many years to come if Liv is successful. Regardless of the outcome, Ronda’s match will be remembered at best with apathy, regardless of whether she wins.
Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair, Bianca Loses in WWE Summerslam 2022
Becky Lynch defeated Bianca at SummerSlam in 2021 in 26 seconds. After having to compete in a match of Hall of Fame quality with Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37: Night One, it was a crushing moment that brought her to tears. The title of Bianca was returned to her by Becky at WrestleMania 38, but Becky has not left her alone ever since.
During Hell in Cell, Becky fought Bianca again in a triple threat match, and she was involved in Carmella’s feud as well. Bianca needs to avenge her loss at SummerSlam and move forward with her title reign by avenging her loss. As a result of the Bianca loss in 2021, the crowd became lifeless. There is no doubt that WWE will not repeat the same mistake in the future.
Theory Fails To Cash In WWE Summerslam 2022
In order for theory to be a success, it does not need to cash-in. In fact, it would have been better for him not to cash in at all. Money in the Bank’s cash-in moments is one of the best aspects of the game because they are unpredictable in nature. As of right now, Theory has basically advertised that he is going to cash in after the main event at SummerSlam. Theory should provide us with a surprise at SummerSlam 2022 if he has to, but he is likely to succeed if he has to cash in there.
There is nothing worse than a failed cash-in. In the history of wrestling, there has never been a cool, failed cash-in, regardless of whether you disagree with the wrestler who failed to cash in. It has been said that the Money in the Bank plot device is the greatest plot device in wrestling, and failed cash-ins waste it.
Theory Wins The United States Championship in WWE Summerslam 2022
During Money in the Bank, Bobby Lashley and Theory had a sensational match for the United States Title. After winning the title, Bobby looked very dominant, continuing his campaign for the Undisputed Title as he continued to dominate. There was a very entertaining performance from Theory with Bobby and then Theory went on to win Money In The Bank in the end.
There was a win-win situation for both superstars, and it seems that having a rematch can only result in a bad outcome for both stars. It would be unnecessarily bad for Mr. Money in the Bank if Theory lost again, and it would be serious damage to Bobby Lashley if he lost. At this point, he is far too strong to lose to Theory at this point in his career. He would be completely derailed if he were to lose.
Inconclusive Undisputed Tag Team Championship Finish in WWE Summerslam 2022
There have been a number of great matches put on by the Street Profits for the past few months. Earlier in the year, RK-Bro had a limited ceiling because he wasn’t going to lose the Raw Tag Titles any time soon. There was also the problem of sitting behind the Uso’s reign of the Undisputed Tag Titles, which limited their opportunities. While the Street Profits had a great match against The Usos at Money in the Bank, it was one of their best matches of the year and one of their personal best matches.
There is no doubt that the sequel to that match will be a decisive epic. In my opinion, it really should be the climax of the Street Profits’ career. Even if the Usos retain, it won’t mean the end of the world, as they are a legendary tag team; thus, it won’t be the end of the world. There can be no possibility of a Dusty finish putting an asterisk on what should be a phenomenal match, which is something that cannot happen.
Riddle Loses To Seth in WWE Summerslam 2022
It is no secret that there are a good number of fans who want Seth to win after he has lost three straight matches to Cody Rhodes. But that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? While Seth has been losing quite a few matches this year, he has remained strong throughout the process, so much so that most people don’t realize how many times he has been losing. If he faced Roman for the title tomorrow, we would all be willing to buy it.
It should be noted that Seth is a Grand Slam Champion as well as a Money in the Bank winner, who beat Brock Lesnar. He’s a man who has made his name, but Riddle is still making his name, and he recently lost to Roman in a huge match. As the main event talent, Riddle needs this win more than any other to establish himself as one of the best.
Miz Wins in WWE Summerslam 2022
At the end of the match against Logan Paul, Miz should definitely be looking upward at the lights as he stares at them. There is no doubt that Logan Paul will feel less special if he loses his debut singles match, as it will definitely reduce the trajectory of Logan’s career and make him feel less special overall. There is also the fact that Miz is a very accomplished superstar, so he can take the loss.
After losing to Logan Paul, Miz will bounce right back. Furthermore, I am curious as to what Miz would do if he beat Logan, from the standpoint of the story. It would not be a big deal if he brags about it on Raw, but it does not appear to bother the crowd at all.
Regular Corbin vs Pat McAfee Match in WWE Summerslam 2022
The problem that Happy Corbin and Pat are having is similar to the problem that Miz and Logan are facing. The match between Corbin and Pat McAfee is even less special because it has no sizzle to it at the moment, which makes it even less interesting. There is a less interesting version of the Theory/Pat feud between Corbin and Pat. Pat appears almost every week on commentary, so it doesn’t feel like it is a super special appearance, and we know he is an excellent wrestler.
There is something missing from this match. As a result of disrespect on the commentary, there was a conflict. If the loser leaves SmackDown, then the winner does not have to deal with them anymore, and the loser leaves SmackDown. In the current state of things, if Corbin wins or if Pat wins, what will change? At the end, who cares?
Regular Miz vs Logan Paul Match in WWE Summerslam 2022
There are millions of people who follow Logan Paul on social media. There is no doubt that Miz has built up a tremendous platform over the years, and he is one of the best superstars in the WWE. He is a two-time WWE Grand Slam Champion who beat John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania in the main event of his own show and is also an actor. Despite that, Logan and Miz are way too similar for a regular one-on-one bout to be a resounding success at the box office.
A YouTuber got knocked out by one of the greatest boxers of all time in Logan’s biggest match against Floyd Mayweather. The WWE should add some stipulations to this match in order to spice it up and capture the element of danger that captured the attention of people during the Floyd vs. Logan match. The strategy will also cover up any weaknesses that Paul may have in the area of his in-ring skills.
